Winter holidays 2024 to be held at the Royal Castle in Warsaw

by Dignity News
From 15 to 28 January 2024, the Royal Castle in Warsaw is inviting children, young people and whole families to enjoy an educational programme that will make the winter holidays not only a time of relaxation, but also an opportunity to creatively discover extraordinary cultural heritage.

The Castle’s educational offer includes activities for children aged 6-12 entitled. ” Winter holidays with abstraction”. Classes conducted at the latest temporary exhibition “The Art of Seeing. Nowosielski and others’ will allow young participants not only to learn what abstraction is, but also to interpret works of art freely and creatively – to pose questions and express their own opinions. On the other hand, the class “Big and small mysteries of the castle” will be a chance to learn about objects with strange uses, secret passages and ancient decorative techniques. Young visitors, together with educators, will be able to discover the secrets of the Castle during a walk through its interiors.

For families with children, the education department of the Royal Castle has prepared themed workshops. These will be classes from the series “Castle Academy for Young Collectors”, “See differently, or an extraordinary journey into the world of Jerzy Nowosielski”. The proposals include creative classes “Abstraction in a fun way. Carnival-style masks” with elements of an art workshop. Animations with an educator “Nowosielski’s creative activity space – inspirations” are also planned for all Sundays in January from 12.00 to 14.00.

In January, there will also be an art offer from the Castle for older secondary school students. They will be able to attend a painting and drawing course entitled “The Secret World of Abstraction”, an hour with art – Was Jerzy Nowosielski a Surrealist”, and a meeting with the curator of the exhibition “The Art of Seeing. Nowosielski and others’, combined with a tour of the exhibition.
