Prof. Marcin Składanowski (KUL).

During the next three debates at the Jagiellonian University, UAM and UW, experts will discuss legal, social and economic issues related to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The Jagiellonian University will host the debate titled “Right to violence? Legal aspects of war” that will be attended by political scientists and security researchers. UAM will hold the debate on “Refugees. Coexistence or assimilation. Social aspects of war” attended by sociologists and psychologists.

The substantive plenipotentiaries who developed the topics of the new University Areopagus, titled “University and the war”, include Prof. Lucyna Błażejczyk-Majka (UAM), Fr. Dr Cezary Smuniewski (UW), Prof. Leszek Sosnowski (UJ) and Prof. Jacek Wojtysiak (KUL).

The main idea of the Areopagus of Universities, supported by the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland, is to conduct a public debate on contemporary challenges in the university space.
