PLN 13 million will be invested in the implementation of the “Career of Tomorrow” program for professional activation and improvement of the situation of young people in the labor market. The project is implemented by the Scientific and Academic Computer Network – National Research Institute in an educational partnership with Google Poland and the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH).
The largest internship and training program in Poland is financed from EU funds and coordinated by the government administration. SGH is the main educational partner in the program and, together with Google, will conduct a series of seminars and workshops aimed at deepening the knowledge of young people about digital management in small and medium-sized enterprises.
Training in the Skills of Tomorrow series is planned for the autumn of this year and the beginning of 2023 for a total of 8,000 people.
The training participants will then have the opportunity to apply for 1,200 paid internships in small and medium-sized enterprises as part of the “Career of Tomorrow” project.
The “Career of Tomorrow” program, using the previous experience in Greece and Italy, offers a unique combination of the latest technological knowledge and the basics of business theory, which will be introduced to newcomers in the labor market by experts from the Internet industry and lecturers from the Warsaw School of Economics.
“This is the largest educational project of the Google concern in Poland and we are very pleased that we are just starting it with the Warsaw School of Economics”, said Magdalena Kotlarczyk, regional director of Google.
Rector of the Warsaw School of Economics, Prof. Piotr Wachowiak reminded that the principle of deepening professional competencies with practical skills has been the foundation of teaching at SGH for many years. He also expressed his satisfaction with the fact that, on the initiative of Google, all training materials were translated into Ukrainian, and the training and internships will also include young people from war-torn Ukraine.
“We must think about the future now and take steps to enable the reconstruction of the Ukrainian economy after the end of hostilities”, added the rector of the Warsaw School of Economics.
