US Vice President Kamala said that the whole world has been watching Poland, the leaders of Poland and the Polish people. „I would like to thank the Poles for their amazing generosity and acts of good”, said Harris at a press conference following the meeting with Polish President Andrzej Duda.

Vice President Harris announced that the United States will provide an additional $ 50 billion in humanitarian aid for Ukrainians struggling with Russian aggression.

She informed that the money will be allocated from the funds of the food program.

The humanitarian aid was a response to “the moral outrage that all civilized nations feel when we’ve looked at what is happening to innocent men, women, children, grandmothers, grandfathers who are fleeing everything they’ve known. We must provide humanitarian aid”, emphasized Harris.

The US vice president also stressed that the US commitment to the implementation of Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty is “ironclad”. An attack on one is an attack on all”, she said.

President Andrzej Duda said after the meeting that he asked the vice president of the USA for support for the refugees reaching Poland, Also, the president asked for acceleration of “possible programs for the purchase of American equipment for the Polish army.”
