by Dignity News
The 19th Singer’s Warsaw Jewish Culture Festival will take place from 27 August to 4 September. The organizers of the event from the Shalom Foundation are announcing both large and small meetings with Jewish culture, art and tradition in the interpretation of the Polish and international artists with the Israeli star Yasmin Levy in the final.

The organizers decided to invite artists from Ukraine this year. “We will create Singer’s Warsaw together! With our great audience, great artists and institutions! And although for many people the beginning of 2022 was marked by sadness or even tragic events, we strongly believe that our festival will be a moment of relief and emotions, and maybe even a moment of joy”, says Gołda Tencer, the creator of the festival.

The festival is traditionally dominated by music and theater. There will be large open-air concerts, chamber concerts and recitals, as well as concerts from the Singer Jazz Festival series.

There will also be theater premieres and shows of well-known plays, monodramas and performative readings. The regular events include meetings around literature, music and history, film screenings, as well as lectures, workshops, exhibitions and city walks.

The wonderful Israeli singer Yasmin Levy will visit the festival for the first time. She is considered one of the most interesting and talented world music artists. Levy will be the culmination of the finale of the 19th  Singer’s Warsaw, which will be held at the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera.

The Klezmer Night will return to Plac Defilad in Warsaw. It will be artistically led by Kommuna Lux – Klezmer & Odessa Gangsta Folk from Ukraine. In the traditional inaugural cantoral concert in the Synagogue of the Nożyks, Nachman Turgeman and Netanel Olivisky will perform for the first time in Poland.
