Energy cooperation, the export of Polish food, cooperation in new technologies and investments, and the unmasking of Russian propaganda were the main topics discussed during Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki’s talks with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia.

“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is one of the world’s leaders in oil production and thus a strategic energy partner for Poland. Today, Poland no longer uses Russian oil or gas. Thanks to this important decision, we can now diversify our sources of energy and fuel supply. The use of multiple sources is a key element in ensuring energy security for Poland and continuity of supply regardless of the international situation”, emphasises the Prime Minister’s Office.

In Riyadh, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki held talks with the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia about the scope of raw material supplies to strengthen our cooperation. Among other things, the importance of the stability of global oil markets and the reliability of supply for Poland were highlighted during the talks.

As Prime Minister Morawiecki tweeted, cooperation with Saudi Arabia will not just be about oil.

“While energy security is key for us, food security is most important for Saudi Arabia. Cooperation in agriculture is a great opportunity for Polish farmers and food producers”, added the head of the Polish government.

Saudi Arabia is also interested in investing in the implementation of state-of-the-art technologies in Poland. During the talks, it was emphasised that conditions exist for the development of mutual investments and taking the initiative for sustainable development, clean energy, and future technologies.
