Polish oil company donated heated tents, fuel and food to Ukrainian refugees

The Polish oil company ORLEN Group has been actively involved in helping refugees from Ukraine. As part of social activities, the company prepared heated tents at the border, delivered fuel for refugees in Przemyśl and provided a lot of other help. It also announced support through the system of points from the VITAY loyalty program.

ORLEN has prepared heated tents at the Polish-Ukrainian border, where hot meals and drinks were available. It donated over 30,000 liters of fuel to help refugees in Przemyśl for their transport, as well as for powering generators and heating tents.

In addition, more than 30 people, mainly mothers with children, are under the care of Orlen in hotel facilities in Płock in the company’s headquarters. The concern also donated food from petrol stations to people in Kyiv.

Daniel Obajtek, the president of PKN Orlen emphasized that humanitarian aid for refugees from Ukraine is provided by the entire ORLEN Group. Apart from the ORLEN companies, the employees themselves contributed to the support as part of employee volunteering.

The ORLEN Group also launched an action under the VITAY loyalty program. For every 1000 VITAY points provided by users, the ORLEN Foundation will allocate PLN 5 to help Ukraine, and for 5000 points – PLN 25.

The Border Guard informed that from the first day of Russia’s attack on Ukraine, until Thursday, March 3, over 604,000 Ukrainians emigrated to Poland.
