Only yesterday 170 people left Lviv in four buses. The transport was organized thanks to the activities of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Lviv and the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).

The group of evacuees included 30 Poles and 63 holders of the Pole’s Card. In addition, 21 Ukrainian children with guardians and 5 blind people with their guardians came to Poland for treatment. In a convoy of 14 cars, the Polish border was also crossed by journalists and employees of French and American diplomatic missions, said Łukasz Jasina, press spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MSZ).

The evacuation was preceded by the action of the willingness to leave for Poland reported by phone to the MSZ’s helpline and registered in the Odyseusz system. The entire group safely reached the country. Considering the future plans to organize further transports, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs encourages Poles and Pole’s Card holders to report the need for assistance in leaving Lviv that will significantly facilitate the process of its organization. The need for help in leaving Lviv can be reported via the e-mail info.ukraina@msz.gov.pl
