Polish government announced the switch of public administration to remote work

by DignityNews.eu

The Chancellery of the Prime Minister announced on its website that it published a regulation directing public administration to remote work.

The legislation provides for the modification of the provisions on the performance of public tasks in public administration offices or organizations. These tasks are to be carried out remotely, on the terms set out in the provisions of the Act on special solutions related to the prevention and combating of COVID-19.

The exceptions to these rules will be situations where the implementation of specific tasks is necessary to provide assistance to citizens or due to legal provisions or the needs of public administration offices or organizations if their implementation is not possible within the framework of remote work.

In the opinion of the authors, the regulation will ensure a reduction in the number of contacts between employees of public administration offices or organizations performing public tasks, as well as contacts between the aforementioned people with external stakeholders.

The introduction of the switch to remote work in public administration was previously announced by the Minister of Health, Adam Niedzielski. At the press conference, he appealed to all employers in Poland, to all persons responsible for the organization of work, to make remote work a standard again.
