Polish company Maspex takes over the Żubrówka, Soplica, Absolwent and Bols brands from Russians

Maspex Group, owner of incl. brands Tymbark, Kubuś, Lubella, Łowicz, completed the acquisition of CEDC International and its subsidiary B2B Wine & Spirits. CEDC International, operating in the spirits industry, belonged to the Russian tycoon – Roust Corporation since 2013.

Taken over the brands Żubrówka, Soplica, Absolwent and Bols, Maspex has also become a distributor of Carlo Rossi, Barefoot and Gancia wines and colored alcohols: Grant’s, Glenfiddich and Tullamore D.E.W., Metaxa, Jagermeister, Cointreau, Campari, Aperol, and Remy Martin.

In November 2021, the Maspex Group announced that it had signed a conditional agreement with Roust Corporation for the purchase of its subsidiary CEDC, which runs the entire Roust group’s operations in Poland. Maspex informed, that the transaction created the largest Polish food group with a turnover exceeding PLN 11 billion. The production of the group’s alcoholic beverages will be carried out at the production plants in Oborniki and Białystok.

Maspex is the largest Polish private company in the food industry and one of the largest in Central and Eastern Europe. The company has 67 brands in its portfolio offering in total over 2,300 products that are present in over 60 countries around the world. The products from the Maspex portfolio are made in 16 modern production plants in Poland and abroad. Sales revenues in 2020 amounted to PLN 5.22 billion.
