by DignityNews.eu
Adam Niedzielski, Health Minister announced on Thursday, March 24 that from March 28, the government is removing all pandemic restrictions including the obligation to wear masks. The changes will also include home isolation and quarantine.

The head of the Ministry of Health said that the obligation to wear masks will be removed and will continue only in health facilities. Isolation and quarantine for household members and visitors will be obsolete.

Last day in Poland, 8,994 coronavirus infections were recorded, i.e. by 26% less than a week ago.

Niedzielski emphasized that good indicators oblige the Ministry to make such decisions. “The outlook for a future number of infections, as well as the international situation, are positive. We believe that by the end of April we will have a significant reduction in infections and hospitalization”.

Niedzielski said that the government made a decision to remove the restrictions also based on the observation of the situation in hospitals.

“Despite a significantly higher number of infections in the fifth wave, the number of hospitalizations remained below the level of 20,000. The Omicron variant turned out to be much less dangerous”, he said.
