The Minister of Health, Adam Niedzielski, presented the Package for the Young encouraging and persuading them to study medicine, and then facilitating it.

Gained the experience during the pandemic, Niedzielski said, that investing in people in the medical care system is a priority because the main limit that does not allow reacting adequately and using the infrastructure properly are people. That is why the ministry prepared a package of solutions for young people. NIedzielski emphasized that the ministry is constantly working on new solutions to improve the quality of the healthcare system.

When the pandemic developed, the ministry prepared wage regulations that ended the dispute with the medical community. These regulations provide a financial guarantee to doctors, nurses and representatives of other medical professions. Niedzielski added that the guarantee means a systematic increase in wages and offers prospects of financial stability for future doctors.

The head of the Ministry of Health emphasized that the second area that is dealt with in parallel to the pandemic is the issue of quality, i.e. the preparation of such solutions that will promote high quality in the health care system.

Deputy Minister of Health Piotr Bromber explained that the Package For Young People will encourage and convince people to study medicine, and facilitate studying it. The package will consist of seven elements including loans for students; the higher level of participation in making decisions; the Young Didactic product encouraging young people to teach; the Work for a Student product; the area of increasing competencies and skills, i.e. communication, problems of coping with responsibility, with stress; postgraduate education. Also, the ministry signalled the possibility of exemption from the oral exam with a well-passed written exam.
