Ministry of Defence to sign agreements with Polish factories worth billions of PLN

“During the MSPO fair in Kielce, we will sign agreements on further investments, including Krab self-propelled howitzers together with accompanying vehicles for Regina division fire modules with Huta Stalowa Wola”, said Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defence Mariusz Blaszczak.

During the defence industry fair in Kielce, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) is also planning to conclude a number of other agreements with Polish factories, including for the supply of further artillery reconnaissance vehicles (AWR), the AŁC-T digital-transmission communication apparatus. command cabins for the WISŁA System, specialist cars from the Jelcz factory and the purchase of elements of individual optoelectronic equipment.

“These will be contracts worth billions of PLN in total. The money will be allocated to plants, companies and enterprises of the Polish defence industry. We must be strong, modernly equipped and armed, so that every potential enemy considers twice before even thinking about attacking our homeland”, emphasised the head of the Ministry of Defence.

In an interview with the portal, Minister Błaszczak also announced that in a few days a contract will be signed for the delivery of Polish Piorun portable anti-aircraft missiles for the Estonian Armed Forces. The Piorun sets are designed to combat low-flying aircraft such as aircraft, helicopters and drones.

“The signing of this contract is excellent news for several reasons. The first is that the Estonians are relying on equipment that has proven itself on the modern battlefield and is receiving excellent feedback from users. Secondly, it is Polish technology, a Polish product, gaining international recognition, proven in the toughest combat conditions, meeting the requirements of the modern theatre of war. And thirdly, it provides a strong basis for expanding the range of future contracts with other partners,’ assessed the head of the Ministry of Defence.
