Minister Moskwa: Poland is prepared to cut off Russian gas

by DignityNews.eu
Minister of Climate and Environment Anna Moskwa claims that Poland is ready to cut off Russian gas today, not because it has been preparing for it since the beginning of the war, but for years. The program of independence is a vital element of Polish energy policy, it is a priority.

“It is hard to imagine that a Russian supplier would shut off the gas valve on its own if this war is financed from its gas, oil or coal. It is hard to imagine that Russia would decide to take such a step of its own free will”, said Minister Moskwa, adding that interrupting supplies by Russia would be most convenient for Germany which would not have to make any decisions in such a situation.

The Minister of Climate and Environment emphasized that Poland is on the “safe side” because it has been preparing for diversification and independence from Russia for years, which was not obvious for many European countries.

“The level of panic in European countries regarding energy security is much higher than in Poland; we are prepared to be gas independent”, stated Anna Moskwa.
