Przemysław Czarnek, the minister of education and science, has decided to grant over PLN 2.4 million to the University of Rzeszów. “Rzeszów is one of the most important academic centers in Poland. We must support all centers. All academic centers and universities in Rzeszów deserve this support”, said Minister Czarnek during the meeting at the University of Rzeszów.
From the Science for Society program for the modernization and internationalization of research on the heritage of Eastern Poland, the head of the Ministry of Education and Science granted PLN 1,025,225 to the University of Rzeszów. Also, this year’s subsidy for the maintenance and development of the teaching potential of the University in Rzeszów has been increased by PLN 1,392,500.
“Rzeszów will be provided with Infrastructural development, development of buildings and construction of sports facilities. Here in Rzeszów, young people have always been educated at a very high level. They will continue to be educated in new facilities to which we will contribute”, said the Minister of Education and Science.
Przemysław Czarnek learnt about the latest investments of the University of Rzeszów, including Building A1 – the main facility of the Rzeszów University, which has undergone modernization and reconstruction. The university installed a modern system of photovoltaic panels using silicon technology with the use of monocrystalline cells and Nano PV cells.
Minister Czarnek also visited the University Athletic Center, Center for Innovative Research in Sport, which construction was co-financed by the Ministry of Education and Science with 25 million PLN. It is not only an athletics hall but also a research and development facility. Using the scientific potential of the University of Rzeszów, this center will create new training opportunities in athletics sports, providing the opportunity to play in national and international competitions. The center is also used for training purposes.
