Krakow hosting one of the most important events in artificial intelligence in Europe and the world

by Dignity News
The ECAI (26th European Conference on Artificial Intelligence) will take place in Krakow from 30 September to 5 October 2023. This is one of the most important events in artificial intelligence in Europe and the world, a meeting place for leading scientists and experts in the area.

The scientific programme, in addition to paper presentations, includes five invited lectures. An important highlight will be an industrial session organised in cooperation with the Krakow Technology Park. Sponsors and companies that develop and use AI-based technologies will present their solutions and speak during panel discussions. The organisers expect more than 800 participants from all over the world.

The workshop and tutorial sessions accompanying the sessions for young researchers, including PhD students, will take place on the campus of the Jagiellonian University. The venue for the main part of the conference will be the ICE Conference Centre. A special session on engineering applications of AI will be held at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow.

ECAI has been organised for more than 40 years by the national AI associations in Europe (EurAI). Last year, the Polish Association of Artificial Intelligence won the competition to organise this prestigious event. Given the ‘itinerant’ nature of the conference, this is a unique opportunity for the Polish scientific and business community.

The ECAI 2023 conference received organisational support from the Mayor of the City of Krakow and the Jagiellonian University. The Kraków Technology Park and the AGH University of Science and Technology are also involved in the organisation. Numerous universities and organisations, including the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences, the Committee on Informatics of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Poznan University of Technology, and the Wroclaw University of Economics, have provided scientific sponsorship for the event.
