From 18 to 20 October 2023, the International Congress on Educational Quality is being held in Katowice, bringing together those interested in issues relating to educational quality assurance systems, educational quality monitoring, accreditation, the internationalisation of education, the development of teaching competences and distance learning.
The aim of the congress is to enable participants to exchange experiences and encourage joint initiatives within the Academic Consortium – Katowice City of Science.
On the first day of the event, the topic of the sessions was improving the didactic competences of lecturers and persons administratively supporting their quality implementation, including competences related to the rationalisation of the procedure for verifying learning outcomes, modernisation of tools for designing and implementing classes, implementation of modern didactic methods favouring individualisation of education, analysis of good practices in the quality of education and the problems of creating and modifying modern study programmes.
The programme of the Congress includes an expert discussion, which will be an opportunity to attempt to develop directions and ways of using artificial intelligence in university education.
The National Agency for Academic Exchange has assumed honorary patronage of the event.
The organisers of the International Congress on Quality of Education are the universities that are part of the Academic Consortium – Katowice City of Science: Silesian University in Katowice, Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, Jerzy Kukuczka Academy of Physical Education in Katowice, Silesian University of Technology, Silesian Medical University in Katowice and University of Economics in Katowice.
