Minister of Health Adam Niedzielski promised, that since March 1, the Polish government will lift most of the Covid-19 restrictions, also of an economic character. The decision to lift most of the restrictions is based on a thorough analysis of epidemic trends and the situation in hospitals, said.

The head of the Ministry of Health informed the public that the ministry will remain only the restrictions which are purely epidemic, related to limiting virus transmission.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki informed about the decision to restore normal work in offices. “It will still be obligatory to wear masks in public places, in particular in public transport, in shops – where the distance between people is really close. Remote work was obligatory in offices and recommended in companies and enterprises, today we lift this recommendation and offices return to normal functioning”.

Minister Niedzielski emphasized that the falling trend is breaking downward. In recent weeks, Poles have dealt with drops of even more than 30% from week to week and this resulted in a quick decrease of the number of infections as quick Poland reached the apogee of the 5th wave.

Today, 20,456 new cases of coronavirus infections have been recorded in Poland and 360 people died. This means a reduction in infections by nearly 30% week to week.
