Head of the National Security Bureau: Poland expecting approx. 2,000 additional US troops

The head of the National Security Bureau (BBN), Paweł Soloch announced, that additional US soldiers would appear in Poland, which is related to the situation on the Russian-Ukrainian border.

He said that he expects American soldiers in Poland. “I do not want to give specific numbers, but the first wave would be about 2,000. additional soldiers added Soloch.

The BBN head emphasized that Germany’s reaction towards Russia’s aggressive policy towards Ukraine may raise doubts about the unity of the alliance and the effectiveness and consistency of the attitude of all allies. He reminded, that talks with Russia take place through NATO and the USA.

Due to the threat of a Russian invasion of Ukraine, the United States is putting eight and a half thousand soldiers on high alert. American troops will support the countries of NATO’s eastern flank in the event of a threat to their security. The spokesman for the Pentagon, John Kirby emphasized that US commitment to the security of NATO allies and the fifth article is unquestionable.

In Soloch’s opinion, sending about 8.500 soldiers to Central Europe with approx. 2000 soldiers to Poland is only a part of the US policy of supporting NATO’s eastern flank.

The head of the National Security Bureau explained that all US support is implemented in two programs. The first includes the physical presence of soldiers, also in Poland. The second is activating mechanisms and developing the capacity to deploy really significant amounts of troops. Such activities are also carried out.
