From 6 to 9 October 2022, new interpretations of Agnieszka Osiecka’s texts with arrangements by Jacek Piskorz will resound in Poznań’s New Theatre.

The first day will begin with a concert by the finalists of the 25th “Let’s remember Osiecka” Festival. Daria Adamczewska, Hanna Ciupak, Katarzyna Faszczewska, Aleksandra Idkowska, Barbara Małecka, Marta Tabęcka, Jolanta Tubielewicz, Sylwia Wysocka, Urszula Zubek, Inga Żebrowska will present their own interpretations of Osiecka’s works.

The organisers of the event have written: “We recommend listening carefully to these voices – we are convinced that in a few years’ time, the Polish music scene will belong to them”.

The second day will feature a concert of the finalists with the jury and a recital by the winner of the 24th competition, Julia Mika. In the first part, the finalists will present two songs each. The jury will announce its verdict only on Saturday 8 October during the Final Gala.

Jerzy Satanowski, a friend of the poetess, is the artistic director of the ” Let’s remember Osiecka” festival. He is a graduate of Polish philology at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and a composer of film and theatre music. His oeuvre includes around 300 stage productions in Poland and abroad. He manages the New Stage of the Roma Musical Theatre. Satanowski is a composer of songs, mainly to the texts of Edward Stachura, Agnieszka Osiecka, Jonasza Kofty and Jan Wołek, sung by Krystyna Janda, Piotr Fronczewski, Hanna Banaszak, Ewa Błaszczyk and Piotr Machalica. Since the 1970s, he has been working for the New Theatre in Poznań.

And the last evening of the Festival will be dedicated to Satanowski. The premiere of ” Sing Once, Dance Once!” will be an opportunity to hear completely new interpretations of Agnieszka Osiecka’s songs performed by outstanding Polish artists, including Zbigniew Zamachowski and Artur Andrus.
