Сommenting on the US president’s decision to transfer 1,700 American soldiers to Poland Marcin Przydacz, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized that Poland invited Americans in the region because that’s the only language that Moscow understands,.

On Wednesday, the US president approved the deployment of additional forces to the eastern NATO member countries. According to John Kirby, the spokesman of the Pentagon, 2,000 soldiers will be sent to Poland and Germany (1700 soldiers from the 82nd US Airborne Division to Poland). Additional forces will also be deployed to Romania.

The decision to deploy more American soldiers was very welcomed in Warsaw, said Przydacz.

Vladimir Putin hoped that the United States, after the defeat in Afghanistan and with greater interest in Taiwan and China, would leave NATO’s eastern flank. He was disappointed – said the former commander of the special operation unit GROM major general Roman Polko.

Washington does not rule out the possibility of locating more forces in the region. The White House confirmed that the United States is discussing this issue with allies, including France.

Polish-American military cooperation was the subject of a conference on the evening of February 2 with the participation of President Andrzej Duda, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and members of the government. The head of the National Security Bureau, Paweł Soloch, said that soon the details of the deployment of American troops in Poland will be known.

Soloch informs that soldiers will be deployed in several places in East Poland, closer to its eastern border. Technical details related to the service of American troops and their tasks are still being finalized in the direct talks between Poland’s defense ministry and the Pentagon.
