Tychy to produce the brand’s first-ever electric Jeep

by Dignity News
The brand’s first-ever electric powered Jeep (BEV) was presented to the public at the Paris Motor Show. The Jeep Avenger will also be the first passenger electric car to be mass-produced in Poland, at the Tychy plant.

The compact Jeep Avenger is pioneering a new range of all-electric, off-road capable cars designed specifically for the European market and is a key part of the brand’s global electrification strategy to become the global leader in zero-emission SUVs.

Manufactured at the Stellantis plant in Tychy, the new Avenger has traction management (Selec Terrain) and Hill Descent Control systems as standard, which, combined with excellent approach and departure angles and ground clearance, bring an impressive level of capabilities.

In terms of electrification, the Jeep Avenger is equipped with a next-generation 400-volt electric drive system that combines a new electric motor and a new battery pack.

Using a 100 kW DC fast charging cable (Mode 4) at public charging stations, it takes just three minutes to charge enough energy for 30 km of driving. Furthermore, 24 minutes are enough to charge the batteries from 20 to 80%.

The Jeep Avenger will arrive in dealerships early next year, but starting in November, customers in the Polish market will be able to pre-book the exclusive Launch Edition, a fully-equipped and all-electric, attractive configuration that will also be available with a turbo petrol engine only in Italy and Spain.
