Toyota Motor Europe is consolidating sales, marketing and after-sales services in Central Europe by merging the former Hungarian company Toyota Central Europe (TCE) with the Polish distributor of Toyota Motor Poland.
The new company Toyota Central Europe based in Warsaw will be responsible for the business activities of the Toyota and Lexus brands in Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
The reorganization will increase efficiency and improve customer service. Jacek Pawlak will be the president of the new TCE company. In the new company, support processes such as IT, HR, etc. will be in the same spot, while operations related to direct contact with customers will be maintained in each of the four markets.
A particular step forward will be a common vehicle warehouse, which will improve the supply chain and shorten the waiting time for deliveries. According to the announcement, customers in the Visegrad Group countries will also receive a joint catalogue of Toyota and Lexus vehicles.
Between 2015 and 2021, Toyota’s total sales in Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia almost tripled and the market share more than doubled.
In 2021, Toyota sales amounted to 81,128 vehicles in Poland and 35,014 vehicles in total in Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
