Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defence Mariusz Blaszczak will approve a contract with Huta Stalowa Wola for the supply of turret systems integrated with Rosomak transporters.

The agreement provides for the procurement of 70 units of remotely controlled ZSSW-30 turret systems integrated with the SPIKE-LR anti-tank guided missile launcher integrated with the Rosomak wheeled armoured personnel carriers. The parties to the agreement are the State Treasury, represented by the Armament Agency, and a consortium of Huta Stalowa Wola S.A and WB Electronics S.A. plants. Deliveries are scheduled for 2024-27.

The ZSSW-30 remotely controlled turret system will be used to combat armoured targets, objects and fortifications used by the enemy, as well as to provide fire support to subunits during combat operations.

The optoelectronic systems used will enable the execution of tasks regardless of the time of day, as well as in difficult weather conditions. The main armament of the USSW-30 is the Bushmaster Mk.44S automatic cannon, which allows firing in automatic and semi-automatic modes, using five different types of ammunition, including programmable ammunition.

The secondary armament is a cannon-coupled modified 7.62mm UKM-2000C machine gun. Additional armament is a twin SPIKE-LR anti-tank guided missile launcher. The armament can be loaded from both outside and inside the vehicle.

The Ministry of Defence also announced the start of military qualification tests of the New Combat Infantry Floating Vehicle. Their positive completion will enable the start of the negotiation process for launching serial production and contracting the supply of the BWP Borsuk for the Polish Armed Forces.
