The Council of Ministers adopts the State’s plan of intentions and investment priorities related to the construction of the Central Communication Port

by Dignity News
The Government Information Center informed that the Council of Ministers adopted a resolution on the State’s plan and investment priorities related to the construction of the Central Communication Port (CPK) – in the perspective of the Sustainable Transport Development Strategy until 2030, submitted by the government’s plenipotentiary for CPK.

The document will improve the synchronization of the work of all entities responsible for the implementation of projects related to the creation of CPK.

The plan will help to preserve the complementarity of parameters (thanks to taking into account the dependencies between individual projects) and deadlines for CPK implementation. It will also be possible to use the CPK plan as an element of the structure of documents indicating that Poland has completed the so-called basic condition for transport, in the context of applying for European Union funds – in relation to investments related to the CPK.

It will also be possible to use the CPK plan as an element of the structure of documents indicating that Poland has completed the so-called precondition for transport, in terms of applying for EU funds, in relation to CTH-related investments. According to the assumptions of the CPK, it should enable the creation of approximately 290,000 new jobs by 2040 and bring the Polish economy about PLN 985 billion of additional global production.

As part of this project, Solidarność Airport will be built on the premises located 15 minutes from Warsaw, which will be able to handle 40 million passengers per year in the first period. The so-called Airport City will include trade fair and congress facilities, conference and office facilities. CPK will also include railway investments: a junction in the immediate vicinity of the airport and approximately 2000 km of new tracks throughout the country, which will allow shortening travel between Warsaw and the largest Polish cities in no more than 2.5 hours.
