After a break of several years, the Polish Army is returning to play with the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. “All those who want will be able to play in 2024”, said Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak – Kamysz after a meeting with Jerzy Owsiak and representatives of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation.
“I encourage all military units in the country and in the Polish Contingents to join this beautiful action”, added the head of the national defence ministry.
“Lungs after a pandemic. We play for children and adults!” is the slogan of the upcoming 32nd Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. “On 28 January 2024, military units wishing to support the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity will be able to join the campaign”, the Ministry of Defence declared.
Thanking the leadership of the Ministry of Defence for this support, Jerzy Owsiak said: “We will again play in many places all over Poland. If there are only headquarters that want the military to host them, if units want to voluntarily also support the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, we will be very grateful. On 28 January 2024, we return to normality. We would also like them to support our goal of “Lungs after the pandemic”.
Earlier, Jerzy Owsiak, founder of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, met with Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
“After eight years, it is beginning to be the way the Orchestra was able to play, i.e. with all those who want to be together with us,” said Owsiak, adding that Prime Minister Tusk was very interested in the Orchestra’s activities.
The Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity will take place on 28 January 2024 in Warsaw at the PGE National Stadium in Warsaw. Not only will the artists’ performances take place there, but a studio tent will also be set up, from which a TV and Internet broadcast will be transmitted.
