Cartographers from the Department of Political and Historical Geography of the Faculty of Geography and Regional Studies at the University of Warsaw created a map of The Witcher’s world. The map was created as part of the project “Geographical and political atlas of Poland. Poland in the modern world: the perspective of 2022”.
The work of Warsaw cartographers is inspired by the books of Andrzej Sapkowski and many other artists describing the world he created. It contains objects mentioned in all works: books, film series, games and comics and also many names and geographic features invented to complete the map.
The overall layout of the countries, mountain ranges, and major rivers is consistent with the maps developed so far by fans. However, this is the first such detailed map that accurately shows the topography, the course of borders and rivers, the location of islands and cities classified according to the number of inhabitants.
