“The measure of state responsibility is to care for the weakest. I am convinced that thanks to our governments, Polish seniors are more and more secure every year, and their autumn of life can really be golden. This is what it is all about. Because when Law and Justice rules, it is actually Poles, including Polish seniors, who rule” writes Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in a letter to pensioners.
The head of the Polish government stated that each year he keeps his promises made to seniors.
“To begin with, we returned to lower retirement age, and then we started to increase our pension benefits. Our actions allowed us to increase the average pension by as much as PLN 600. (…) Each senior citizen in Poland also receives the 13th pension. Elderly people cannot choose between drugs or food. That is why we do everything to ensure that such choices never happen”, declares Mateusz Morawiecki.
He noted that, especially in times of crisis, the state must be active and “respond to the problems of Poles”.
“We have made a decision to pay out the 14th pension. We abolished the pension tax and set the indexation at the level of 7%. In difficult times, we use unique solutions. It is done to allow every senior to feel safe.
At the end of his letter to seniors, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki declared: “We will protect your interests. Over the years, you have served Poland. Now we are honoured to serve you”.
