Debica tyres took part in tests conducted by the renowned German automobile club ADAC. The Polish manufacturer ranked above the real giants of the tyre market.
For many drivers and car owners, ADAC tests are an indicator of quality, and a signpost in their purchasing decisions. The latest ADAC report checked the quality of summer tyres. A very good result was achieved by Polish tyre manufacturer Debica, which proved to be better than some of the international market giants.
ADAC tested 16 models from 16 different manufacturers. Dry and wet safety, environmental balance, mileage, abrasion, performance and noise generation were checked. The test, in which only 215/55 R17 tyres were assessed, proved to be so rigorous that none of the 16 tested sets managed to get into the “very good” category, which ranged from 0.6-1.5 points (the German rating scale is 0-6, where the worst rating is 6).
There were three sets of tyres on the podium receiving a ‘good’ status: Continental PremiumContact 7 (2.0), Michelin Primacy 4+ (2.1) and Kumho Ecsta HS52 (2.3). Just behind them, a model belonging to Poland’s Debica was ranked: Debica Presto UHP 2. The Polish summer tyres received an average of 2.6 from the ADAC and slipped out of the “good” category by a hair, however, opening the classification of the “satisfactory” section. The Germans placed Debica’s model above products from companies such as Bridgestone, Hankook, Dunlop and Goodyear.
The Polish manufacturer’s tyres received a score of 2.6 in both safety and environmental balance. The strongest point of these tyres is their low weight and excellent performance – which can reduce fuel consumption. The Polish product also has an advantage in terms of price. Tested by the ADAC, the tyres cost €120 (around PLN 517) and this is by far the lowest among the top.
