In the program to support investments of significant importance for the Polish economy, the Polish state budget will allocate from a few to several dozen million PLN to 17 foreign companies
In recent weeks, those companies have signed contracts with the State Treasury, represented by the Minister of Development and Technology, for public aid in the form of a targeted subsidy.
MAN Trucks Ltd will receive over PLN 10 million to increase the production capacity of the existing truck production plant in Niepołomice. Samsung Electronics Poland Manufacturing Ltd will acquire over PLN 23.5 million to increase the production capacity of the washing machine and refrigerator manufacturing plant in Wronki.
The company Universal Scientific Industrial Poland Ltd will accept PLN 3 million for increasing the production capacity of the existing production plant located in Biskupice Podgórne, and Faurecia Wałbrzych SA will obtain nearly PLN 23 million for increasing its production capacity through investment in new machines and production equipment in the company’s existing plants in Wałbrzych.
Also, the company Northvolt Poland Ltd will be given the subsidy of nearly PLN 28 million to increase production and research and development capacities by building a new plant for the production of energy storage modules and systems, together with a research and development center in Gdańsk.
The aim of the Program for supporting investments of significant importance for the Polish economy for 2011–2030 is to increase the innovativeness and competitiveness of the Polish economy by supporting new investments carried out by Polish and foreign companies. Support is granted in the form of a subsidy on the basis of a bilateral agreement concluded between the competent ministry and the investor.
