“Postponed by one year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the World Exhibition EXPO 2020 in Dubai is coming to an end. The Polish Pavilion has so far been visited by almost 1 million 400 thousand visitors, their final number may approach one and a half million” says Adrian Malinowski, the general commissioner of the Polish section of the exhibition in Dubai.

The Commissioner emphasizes that during the six-month period of EXPO 2020, the Polish pavilion hosted many events that were organized with the purpose of cultural and economic promotion of Poland.

“We had over 20 temporary exhibitions that were perfectly combined with our permanent exhibition, we had about a thousand events that took place in the Polish Pavilion or in the EXPO space organized by Poland. In addition, about one hundred events were prepared and organized in cooperation with other countries” reports Malinowski.

The Commissioner emphasizes that the creators of the Polish pavilion at EXPO were very keen to show what contemporary Poland is and how much Polish presence in the international arena is emphasized with Polish products and technologies used on a daily basis but not attributed to Poland in general awareness.

Malinowski adds that the Polish restaurant serving dishes of our cuisine is very popular. An absolute hit is the twisted ice cream, for which long lines have been formed.
