One of the most important book fairs in the publishing world, The London Book Fair, is taking place from 12 to 14 March. The Book Institute, as it does every year, organised a Polish stand in order to make it easier for domestic publishers to establish business contacts and to enable the sale of copyrights, thus increasing the presence of Polish literature on foreign markets.
Visitors to the fair could learn about the offer of thirty-four Polish exhibitors. In the Olimpia London hall, a 90 square metre stand presented GW Foksal, inkBOOK Europe, GLOSSA, Czarna Owca, Rebis, Natuli, Publishing Houses of Warsaw University, Wydawnictwo Kobiece, Marpress, Makami, ZNAK, Grupa Zaczytani, Fundacja Szansa – Jesteśmy Razem, Mamy dla mamy, OzGraf, Publishing House of Jagiellonian University, Wydawnictwo Literackie, Opolgraf, Wydawnictwo Czarne, Dressler Dublin, National Cultural Centre, Agora, Kurtiak i Ley, Warsaw Book Fair, International Cultural Centre, Dzika Małpa, Drukarnia Pozkal, Polish Your Kitchen, Grupa Relacja, Powergraph, Centre for Contemporary Art “Znaki Czasu” in Toruń, Zwierciadło, National Institute of Architecture and Urban Planning, Kici Nici.
In addition, the Book Institute presented novelties from the catalogue ‘New Books from Poland 2023’ and ‘Polish Books from Children and Young Adults 2024’. Selected books published with the support of the ©POLAND Translation Programme implemented by the Book Institute were also presented. The Polish stand also recalled the centenary of the Nobel Prize in Literature for Wladyslaw Reymont.
The London Book Fair is the most important book fair in the world, next to Frankfurt, and attracts publishers, agents, and authors from all over the world.
