SatRevolution, a leading Polish company in the space sector, will provide the modern CubeSat 6U satellite platform and will be responsible for its operation for the Australian Space Manufacturing Network (ASMN). As part of the USD 157 million program, the company is planning to design a nanosatellite factory in Australia. The project has received funding from the Australian government in the amount of USD 52 million.
The Australian Space Manufacturing Network (ASMN) is an initiative of the Australian company Gilmour Space Technologies planning to complete a $ 157 million project under the federal government’s Modern Manufacturing Initiative – Collaboration (MMI-C) program.
The initiative aims to create three new facilities for the development of the Australian space sector, including a rocket and satellite factory that will be managed by Gilmour Space and an orbital spaceport at Abbot Point in Queensland, which will enable the launch of objects into space.
SatRevolution, which has become one of the partners of the MMI-C initiative, will provide the CubeSat 6U satellite platform and integrate it with the drive specially prepared for the project by Neumann Space. In the next step, the Polish company will lead a space mission and assume the role of the operator of the created satellite.
“We are very pleased with the cooperation established under the program and obtaining government funding for the project. This collaboration opens up new development opportunities for us in the Australian market and is a benchmark in our global expansion. Preparatory work for the project will start soon, and its implementation is planned for the third quarter of 2022”, comments Grzegorz Zwoliński, president and co-founder of SatRevolution.
