The aim of the competition is to shoot 3 short films (8-10 minutes long) sharing knowledge about issues important to Jewish culture and tradition.

The jury of the competition will select at most one concept for shooting a film in each of the two age categories.

Topics of 3 episodes for the audience of 10-12 years include Jewish Places and their importance; Jewish culinary traditions; Time in Jewish culture.

Topics of 3 episodes for the audiences over 12 years of age include Similarities and differences between Christianity, Judaism and Islam; What does it mean to be a Jew; Functioning of the Jewish community in Poland.

Applications for the competition will be accepted until January 18, 2022.

The offer should contain a description of the concept of one episode of the series indicated by the competition organizer. The nature and format of the proposed films are arbitrary; they can be based on interviews, documentary and archival materials, animation, video art and other sources.

Competition participants will be expected to present two completed films of any size in their portfolio, being made available to the public online, at the cinema, at a festival, on TV or on any channel available to the viewers.

The jury will evaluate mainly compliance with the subject of the competition, the feasibility of production assumptions, the adaptation of the film language to the public and the educational potential of the film.

The finalist of the competition will receive an award of up to PLN 90,000 gross for the creation of three films for a given age category. The value of the prize will depend on the submitted project, which should include a preliminary budget.

The winning films will become educational material addressed to students from all over Poland.
