Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and the Minister of Sport and Tourism Kamil Bortniczuk announced the commencement of the construction program of lightweight sports halls. With the support of the government, approximately 1,000 multi-functional arched halls will be built in rural and urban-rural communes all over Poland. The government will allocate approximately PLN 80 million for this purpose.
°We are starting a great program of building arched halls, which will be multifunctional, erected in urban-rural and rural communes, especially where there are no real sports halls today°, said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference in Raszyn. They will provide millions of Poles, millions of Polish children with new opportunities offering a healthy lifestyle, sports successes, passion, joy and emotions°, emphasized the Prime Minister.
The minister of sport and tourism, Kamil Bortniczuk, noted that great sports talents such as Iga Świątek, Robert Lewandowski or earlier Jakub Błaszczykowski were often born in smaller towns.
