Poland ends the epidemic state

by Dignity News
The Minister of Health, Adam Niedzielski, made a decision to transform the epidemic state into an epidemic emergency since May 16. According to the Ministry of Health, the newest forecasts show that the epidemic is becoming endemic.

“The forecasts are optimistic. In at least a month or two we do not expect any increase in infections, only a continuation of declines. Looking at the analogies to the previous holidays, the holidays are always safer, so I count for 3-4 or even maybe 5 months of calm”, said Minister of Health Adam Niedzielski.

The Ministry of Health estimates the risk of escalation or increased infections as relatively low.

“We can see that there are fewer infections, but most of all we can observe that there are definitely fewer hospitalizations and therefore the consequence is this change of the state. We can say symbolically that we are changing the red light that has accompanied us for the last 2 years to orange”, added Minister Niedzielski

“Currently, there is no alert mutation of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus that would threaten us with another wave of the pandemic. WHO does not evaluate any of the new variants. September will be the real test when we can expect a return to school, work and increased transmission, as well as some seasonality, which we observed earlier.”
