PGE Energia Odnawialna has signed contracts to build 14 photovoltaic farms with a total capacity of 180 MW by 2026. The largest of the new farms are PV Kleszczów of 50 MW, PV Wrzosów of 32 MW, PV Srebrzyszcze of 30 MW and PV Jeziórko 3 of 30 MW.
“The signed contracts for the construction of new PV power plants are an important step towards the execution of our plans to build generation capacity from renewable energy sources. The PGE Group is leading in the green shift, being the leader of the energy transition in Poland. This is possible thanks to consistent investments”, said PGE Energia Odnawialna CEO Marcin Karlikowski.
The Kleszczów PV farm is an installation of about 90,000 bifacial modules that will be operational by mid-2025. It is located in the immediate vicinity of a lignite mine in the Bełchatów district on a plot of approximately 50 ha.
PV Wrzosów is an installation consisting of approximately 59,000 bifacial modules, which will be built in the Lubelskie Voivodeship on a plot of approximately 42 ha. The investment will be completed at the beginning of 2026. Also, in the Lubelskie Voivodeship, PV Srebrzyszcze will be built, consisting of approximately 45,000 bifacial modules.
The 30 MW Jeziórko 3 photovoltaic farm is the next phase of investment in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. It will consist of more than 56,000 bifacial modules and will be built by mid-2025 on a plot of approximately 37 ha. The other farms are: PV Pokrzywnica, PV Klejniki, PV Kliny, PV Łempin, PV Mielec, PV Kościerzyn Wielki, PV Pacanowice, PV Stęgosz, PV Tarchały Wielkie and PV Tyszki Wądołowo.
Part of the PGE Group, PGE Energia Odnawialna is currently the largest producer of green energy in Poland. It has 21 wind farms, 29 hydroelectric power plants, four pumped storage power plants and 33 photovoltaic farms. The total installed capacity of all facilities is approximately 2 530 MW.
