Parcel collection in Kolporter’s outlets soars

by Dignity News

The number of parcels collected in Kolporter’s outlets increased by almost 100 % last year. Interest in this service has been growing by leaps and bounds, practically since its introduction to the Kolporter network in 2020.

Kolporter’s outlets today comprise a network of around 500 retail and service points, located in well-connected places, so customers can reach them without too many problems. They can be found in city centres, shopping malls and arcades, at railway and bus stations. All outlets have long opening hours, some of them are also open at weekends. „As a result, they are convenient points for collecting parcels”, reports Kolporter, which is the largest press distributor in Poland. It offers comprehensive services to retail outlets and sales networks and provides logistics and advertising services.

‘We have been developing the parcel collection service for about four years, cooperating with carriers and large e-commerce entities. We decided to develop this offer, however, primarily due to the needs of our customers, which correspond to a clear market trend’, says Robert Szczepaniak, Kolporter’s marketing director.

He points out that more and more people, when shopping online, use the option of collecting their parcels at a selected fixed location. ‘For our customers, it is therefore convenient to pick up a parcel while shopping. On the other hand, the scale of Kolporter’s network and its distribution across Poland are important for online shops, ensuring accessibility to this type of service for a very large number of people. Importantly, the outlets are some of the few points of sale that are open, from the early hours of the morning until the evening’, notes Robert Szczepaniak. ‘The fact that we sent 98 % more parcels to customers in 2023 than in 2022 is a clear indication of the popularity of this service’, he adds.
