Panattoni secured financing for the construction of a logistics centre in Tri-City

by Dignity News
Panattoni has secured more than €32m in loans from mBank to build the first hall of Panattoni Park Tricity East V. The facility will house Regesta, the largest logistics centre in Poland.

Pomerania is one of the fastest growing markets in industrial real estate. At the end of 2018, the total stock of modern space in the Pomeranian Voivodeship was 450,000 sq m, to reach three times that figure by the end of 2022. The rapid growth and huge potential are recognised by financial institutions, among them mBank. The bank has granted financing for the development of a 50,000 sq m hall within Panattoni Park Tricity East V – the company announced in a press release.

“Our new investment will take advantage of the greatest strengths of the Tricity region – the proximity of one of the largest Baltic ports and the very large population of the agglomeration. Gdansk is one of the few cities in Poland where the population has increased in the last ten years, and Gdynia is the country’s most populous non provincial capital city. The region therefore attracts business, which gains the potential for international activity and continued growth. We would like to thank mBank for their trust and for adding another brick to the increasing business attractiveness of the Tricity”, said Karina Trojańska, Chief Financing & Operating Officer at Panattoni.

Panattoni Park Tricity East V will be located close to the A1 motorway, the Tricity ring road and the Baltic Hub Deepwater Container Terminal. The construction of the facility has only just started, but already 36,000 sq m has been leased by Regesta, which will use the facility in Q1 2024. It will be the largest facility in the operator’s national portfolio, and the investment’s location will allow cooperation with the port, container handling at Baltic Hub and BCT, as well as expansion of services provided within the maritime transport organization. The new space will include more than 35,000 sq m of block and rack storage, a confectioning area, cross-docking, bonded warehousing, modernly designed handling, forwarding and customs agency offices.
