During the first three months of Expo 2020 in Dubai, the Polish Pavilion was visited by over 500,000 guests from all over the world. The Polish exhibition has become a place of numerous cultural and business events – informs the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, the organizer of Poland’s participation at Expo 2020, in the announcement.
From October 1, 2021, the Polish pavilion hosted nine temporary exhibitions of Polish institutions and regions, presenting thematic workshops, discussions and presentations, and six business seminars. The seminars dealt with the topics of green technologies, modern technologies in the space industry, intelligent solutions for cities and educational technologies.
The culminating moments of the Polish presence at the Expo were the Polish-Arab Economic Forum and the Polish Day organized in December, as well as the celebration of Independence Day with a ceremonial concert of classical music. On November 11, 2021, the third prize winner of the 18th Chopin Competition, Martín García García and the National Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Andrzej Boreyka, performed on the stage of the Dubai Millennium Amphitheater. The concert repertoire included works by Fryderyk Chopin, Stanisław Moniuszko and Mieczysław Karłowicz.
From the beginning, the Expo Export Center of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency organized nearly 500 meetings with investors, companies from various industries and representatives of other pavilions. The aim was to establish new business contacts and promote the investment potential of Polish companies.
Krzysztof Drynda, the president of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency emphasizes, that Expo 2020 Dubai is an excellent opportunity to promote not only the image of Poland in the international arena but also specific products and services. “Poland presents its achievements in economy, culture and design, on the other hand, our pavilion shows Poland as an attractive place to invest. Cooperation with the countries of the Middle East is extremely important in these areas, so I am glad that our activities so far have been positively received, and the events are attended by a wide group of entrepreneurs,” said Drynda.
