By 2026, PKN Orlen will launch 434 charging stations in Germany. Currently, Orlen Group already has 470 such facilities in Poland. The company also provides the possibility to charge a car in 63 locations in Germany and the Czech Republic.
“We are consistently implementing the goals set out in our strategy and supporting the development of e-mobility responding to the expectations that both the market and our customers impose on us. Therefore we are planning further development of charging stations, intending to have at least 1,000 in Poland by the end of the decade. Our development plans in the electromobility sector also include the construction of 434 such facilities, i.e. as many as 868 charging points. In Germany, our Group has already nearly 600 vehicle fuelling stations”, said Daniel Obajtek, CEO of PKN Orlen.
Due to the plans for the development of electromobility, PKN Orlen has launched a request for proposals to carry out a feasibility study for multi-station charging stations for electric vehicles. The tender is open to all companies that meet the formal requirements. The opportunity to apply is available on the corporation’s purchasing platform.
In the following months, the company will be looking on the market for technical consultancy, realisation of construction work or supply of equipment. The planned purchase of services is in line with the assumptions of the strategy and aims to strengthen Orlen Group’s position in the sector of Polish operators of public charging stations.
Polish Orlen stations currently have nearly 140 fast charging stations with a capacity of 50 to 150 kW and 2 with a capacity of up to 50kW. In Germany and the Czech Republic, there are 86 fast charging stations with a power of 50 to 150 kW and 8 with a normal power of up to 50kW.
