Even before the summer holidays, drivers will use new sections of high-speed roads. It will be easier to get from Warsaw to the seaside and to Rzeszów, there will be no speed limit on the A1 which is now under construction. According to the Rzeczpospolita newspaper, drivers will gain over 140 kilometers of new roads. This is less than half of the 345 km planned for the entire year 2022, but it will significantly improve travel for those going on vacation.

The section of the S19 expressway will be opened this Friday. According to the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA), this will complete the construction of the Via Carpatia between Lublin and Rzeszów, the strategic road for the whole of Eastern Poland.

“By opening the S19 Niedrzwica Duży – Kraśnik Północ section to traffic, we will connect the capitals of two voivodeships – Lublin and the Region Podkarpacie. As a result, Rzeszów will gain an uninterrupted, express connection with Warsaw and the A2 motorway, and from Lublin, it will be possible to quickly reach the A4 motorway “, says Szymon Piechowiak, GDDKiA spokesman.

At the end of June, two sections of the S5 expressway will be opened – the 23.4-kilometer section of Nowe Marzy – Świecie South and one kilometer shorter – from Świecie to the Bydgoszcz North junction. Works on the S6 Strzebielino-Gdynia Wielki Kack route will also be completed, improving the exit from the Tri-City agglomeration towards Słupsk and Koszalin.

From the beginning of the summer holidays, it will be easier to travel along the S7 route north of Warsaw – two sections are planned to be added to traffic: Pieńki – Płońsk and Napierki – Mława, each approx. 14 km long. GDDKiA has also announced the commissioning of a part of the western bypass of Łódź – over a 12 km long section from Łódź Lublinek to Aleksandrów Łódzki.

At the turn of June and July, the Kijewo junction on the A6 motorway near Szczecin will also be ready, in August, drivers will take a new, more than 23-kilometer section of the S61 expressway from Szczuczyn to the Ełk Południe junction.
