“At the beginning of 2024, we will launch a website with a transparent preview of transactional prices of flats, broken down by locality, district and metric area”, announced Minister of Development and Technology Waldemar Buda.
Meanwhile, more local authorities and municipal companies will receive funds to create new low-rent and high-standard housing. In the tranche just distributed, PLN 174.5 million will be allocated to 25 beneficiaries.
Thanks to these funds, 825 dwellings will be added to the resources of municipalities. In total, as much as PLN 876 million has been allocated to municipalities, cities, municipal and communal companies, and non-governmental organisations for the construction of new facilities or the renovation of existing buildings and vacant buildings.
Minister Buda recalled that the government’s housing support programme is based on several pillars.
“For young people who want to buy their first home in their lives, a programme will be launched in July including two parts: a secure 2% loan and a savings Housing Account. We are aware, however, that due to the current economic situation, not everyone can afford to buy their own home, even with state support. This is where municipalities have an important role to play, as we strongly support them in the construction of social and municipal housing by covering up to 80 % of the costs of creating new premises”, informs Minister for Development and Technology Waldemar Buda.
Non-refundable construction support from the Surcharge Fund is a programme that increases the number of flats for people with low and average incomes and at risk of social exclusion. The source of its funding is funds from the state budget at the disposal of the Minister of Development and Technology. Non-refundable grants are provided by Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego.
