by Dignity News
The Ministry of Sport and Tourism will allocate PLN 5 million for the pilot program of the Shooting Promotion in Poland. It is addressed to all Poles over 18 years of age and is aimed at popularizing the discipline and promoting pro-defense and patriotic attitudes among Polish citizens.

Minister of Sport and Tourism Kamil Bortniczuk emphasizes that for the first time in the history of the Ministry of Sport it is presenting a program dedicated to the promotion of sports shooting and shooting competences, which will help in obtaining a sports patent and then a gun license for the purposes of sports competition.

The program will be implemented from July 1 to December 31, 2022. Training will be held in groups of up to 20 participants. Each group will carry out a 12-hour shooting program with 1 hour devoted to the history of shooting and the rules of safety at the shooting range and safe use of pneumatic and firearms, as well as legal aspects of firearms and ammunition. The remaining 11 hours will be taken for the practical part (weapon construction, shooting techniques, shooting lessons).

Training will be conducted by qualified instructors with licenses issued by the Polish Sports Shooting Association.

Each participant of the program will fire over 350 shots during practical classes using various types of weapons: short and long pneumatic weapons as well as short and long small arms (AK-47 or M4 / M16 rifle).
