by DignityNews.eu

In 2022, the government’s “Clean Air” program will be reformed. Less affluent Poles will be able to get up to 69,000 PLN for thermal modernization of their houses and replacement of furnaces. The support amounts to 90 percent of the total cost of the thermo-modernization of a house.

“Clean Air” is a 10 year program that was implemented in 2018. Its goal is to support the thermo-modernization of single-family houses and the replacement of obsolete heating boilers, the so-called black-smoke-belching stoves for more ecological ones, in order to lower emissions. The budget of the program will exceed PLN 100 billion. In 2022, the government will introduce an additional group of beneficiaries.

The head of the Ministry of Climate and Environment, Anna Moskwa emphasized that the program is being updated so that it is now more effective for more and more people in terms of simplification of applications, speed of their examination, and involvement of municipalities and banks in its implementation.
