Minister of National Defense Mariusz Błaszczak believes that Poland is safe and Poles can sleep well. °The Polish Army is constantly watching out every day and every night. The government and the Ministry of National Defense consistently focus on the expansion and strengthening of our defense potential, we are increasing the size of the Polish Army, effectively modernizing it and harmonizing with allied forces, i.e. we invest in our interoperability and a strong position in NATO°, says Błaszczak.
He pointed out that Poland is strengthening its alliance with the United States reminding that over 10,000 American soldiers are already stationed on the territory of our country.
“We exercise together and we will defend Poland together if it is needed. This is the deal between our countries. We are secured on many levels, but, as I always emphasize and remind you, our most important guarantor of security and future is a strong and well-trained Polish Army, said the head of the Ministry of National Defense.
During the interview, Minister Błaszczak discussed the issue of Poland handing over more than 200 T-72 tanks to Ukraine. These shortcomings were to be filled by Germany.
“Germany promised to fill the gaps in military equipment resulting from Poland’s significant donations to Ukraine but it did not materialize”, revealed Minister Błaszczak and added that partners are currently at the stage of consultations and seeking solutions.
The head of the National Security Bureau, Paweł Soloch informed the public that “talks about the handover of tanks by Germany have been stopped. “Let’s hope it will come through, ‘added Soloch.
