Mesko, the armaments plant from Skarżysko and US company Century Arms have signed a cooperation agreement. This opens up major opportunities for ammunition sales in the US civilian market. The agreement was concluded during the Shot Show held in Las Vegas. The document was signed by Mesko board member Marcin Ożóg and Brian Sucher, vice-president of Century Arms.
“The signing of the agreement opens up significant opportunities for Mesko to sell ammunition to the US civilian market. It is not without significance that there is a growing interest in our ammunition and a high evaluation of its effectiveness in practice, as confirmed by its existing users”, said Ożóg.
Mesko’s announcement noted that Century Arms is one of the largest manufacturers and importers of weapons and ammunition in the US. Under the agreement, Century Arms has become Mesko’s partner in the US market.
At this year’s Shot Show, Mesko S.A. exhibited small-calibre ammunition.
“Very positive feedback from foreign users, for whom the Company has already made deliveries, translates into great interest among visitors to the exhibition. Mesko’s participation in the Shot Show was an opportunity not only to present ammunition to civilian users and to establish contacts enabling the Company to plan expansion in the demanding US market” explains Mesko.
It was added that as a result of the ongoing investments, modernisation of the machinery stock and increasing production capacity, Mesko is gaining more purchasers of ammunition abroad. One of the company’s priorities is the diversification of equipment supply.
Mesko, a company belonging to the Polish Armaments Group, was established in 1922 and has been operating since 25 August 1924. Initially, it operated as National Ammunition Factory, and then as Metal Works Mesko SA. Its core business is production for defence and national security purposes.
