Michał Janiak, a vice president of the Łukasiewicz Research Network emphasizes that in order to help develop or restore the potential of the Polish defense industry, the Łukasiewicz institutes declare their willingness to cooperate with all research and development units in Poland. “In the Łukasiewicz Network, we currently have about 40,000. products ready for immediate implementation or already implemented. We have 4.500 engineers who have competences in key technologies for the Polish defense industry and we are able to implement large and complex projects in this sector of the Polish economy”, said Janiak at the Defence24Day conference.
“The Łukasiewicz institutes have a long tradition of cooperation with the Polish defense sector”, said Vice President Janiak. He also indicated a wide range of competences useful for military purposes including advanced propulsion systems for rocket engines, rocket fuel components, unmanned aerial vehicles, armor elements, electronic systems with high permissible operating temperature, capable of operating in the range of high frequencies and power, production of materials, advanced plastics and composites for the equipment, as well as sensors and detectors.
During the event, the Łukasiewicz – Industrial Research Institute for Automation and Measurements (PIAP) presented several projects and solutions meeting the growing demand of the army and services for specialized unmanned reconnaissance vehicles and robotic shooting targets.
PIAP showed an autonomous system for terrain land platforms with the ATENA target tracking function, a system of intelligent, mobile shooting cells with hit detection with a composite protective armor MOBI-TARGET and a light reconnaissance robot PIAP-FENIX.
