LOT Polish Airlines ranks third in the AirHelp Score 2023 world ranking, with only Qatar Airways and Germany’s Eurowings higher on the list. LOT has improved its ranking by as many as twelve positions in relation to the AirHelp Score 2022.
At the same time, LOT scored very well in three categories that were considered for the overall AirHelp Score, namely: punctuality, passenger feedback and efficiency in handling compensation claims.
AirHelp Score is a global ranking of the best airlines and airports, published since 2015 by AirHelp, a company specialising in air passenger rights. The Polish national carrier fared better in it than established European airline brands such as Air France (25th place), Lufthansa (57th place), KLM (16th place), British Airways (penultimate, 82nd place).
The AirHelp Score 2023 global leadership list is opened by Qatar Airways (it has been the AirHelp Score leader for many editions). Second place went to German airline Eurowings, which improved its ranking score by six positions.
Five Polish airports were included in the AirHelp Score 2023 in the airport category. The first place in the national ranking, as before, was taken by the Lech Walesa Airport Gdansk – in the global ranking, the Gdansk airport was ranked 28th.
The same AirHelp Score – 7.82 was achieved by two Polish airports: Warsaw’s Chopin Airport and Krakow-Balice Airport in the global ranking these airports were ranked 52nd and 53rd. In fourth and fifth place in Poland were airports not included in the previous edition of the ranking – these are respectively: Wrocław (62nd in the global ranking) and Katowice (86th in the world).
