Polish Airlines (PLL) LOT has presented its strategy for 2024-2028. The Polish national carrier will have more modern aircraft to fly to more attractive destinations and will meet demanding environmental and social goals.
“It matters who you travel with. Because a good travel partner means safety, comfort, and a guarantee of the success of your plans. For nearly 95 years, LOT Polish Airlines has been just such a partner: reliable and important for successive generations of Poles. The strategy we have presented today is a promise for the next decades. World aviation is changing before our eyes, and we will be one of the leaders of this change”, said Michał Fijoł, CEO of LOT Polish Airlines, during the presentation.
The strategy provides for an increase in the fleet by around 50 % (110 in 2028, compared to 75 at present), an increase in the number of passengers by around 70 % (16.9 million in 2028, compared to 10.3 million at present), an increase in the quality of service and passenger satisfaction through new interior standards in wide-body aircraft and the introduction of Wi-Fi access.
Nearly 20 new scheduled destinations, including both medium- and long-haul directions, will be added to LOT Polish Airlines’ route network. The national carrier is also planning investments at airports: the Polonez Business Lounge in Warsaw will be rebuilt and refreshed, and a business lounge in Chicago will be launched.
As part of its social responsibility, LOT Polish Airlines will focus on the transformation in terms of sustainable development and cooperation with the scientific and academic community, the business world and support for the development of the tourism market.
